Lightning Strikes in the United States

AWIS Weather Services has delivered weather data from our small business in Auburn, Alabama to companies all over the world for over 25 years. We started with a few citrus growing clients in Florida and have expanded to worldwide offerings in both Historical Weather Data and Localized Human Weather Forecasts. Since January 1, 2022, AWIS Weather Services has archived all lightning strikes that have happened in the United States. This Dataset is available by date, latitude / longitude location, distance from a lat/long location, strike type, or any combination of those variables. Price depends on the coverage you need for your solution. If you only need strikes within a few miles of one specific location in the US for a period in the past, you're looking at a couple hundred dollars. If you need a real-time, updated by the minute feed of current strikes sent to your phone, you're looking at a couple hundred dollars per month. The product is delivered via email in .csv format with columns as follows: AWIS_Timestamp - The time of the strike in AWIS format. Strike_Type - Options are Ground Stroke or Cloud Stroke Latitude - Latitudinal location of the strike. Longitude - Longitudinal location of the strike. Amplitude - Amplitude of the strike ISO_timestamp - The Official ISO 8160 timestamp of the stirke. The Historical Dataset is updated each afternoon with the previous day's strikes. The LIVE-FEED ongoing live strikes can also be purchased and is updated by the minute. The price of this product depends on the amount of data you need. Contact us for questions.
