The German Student Argumentative Essay Corpus was jointly constructed by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Leibniz University Hannover and the Institute of German Language and Comparative Literature at Paderborn University. It comprises 1,320 argumentative essays written by students from two age groups. Each essay has undergone manual annotation, covering multi-level granularity in terms of both argumentative essay structure and quality. This dataset is designed to support computer-aided argumentative writing education, offering comprehensive writing assistance for students by analyzing the interplay between essay structure and writing quality. Its primary application scenarios focus on improving students' argumentative writing skills and addressing the structural and quality-related problems encountered by students during argumentative writing.
