Inbred chicken lines sequencing

This study consists of pooled sequencing of samples from eight experimental inbred chicken lines from Pirbright Institute (formerly known as Institute for Animal Health). The lines are: 7, P, Wellcome, N, 15 I, 0, 6 and C as described in the study by Kranis et al. (2013) (https://doi.org/10.1186/1471-2164-14-59). Sequencing was performed on pooled DNA from 10 samples for each line. For all the lines DNA from 10 female samples were pooled except for the N line where 10 male samples were pooled. Sequencing was performed on Illumina GAIIx platform using a paired end protocol with read length of 101 bases. The average sequence coverage varies from 10X to 22X among the lines.
