Investigating the RNAs bound by Malate Dehydrgenase 2

Mitochondrial Malate Dehydrogenase 2 has been identified as an RNA-binding protein in several RNA-interactome capture studies. Here, we used eCLIP to identify the RNA targets bound by human MDH2. We identify cytosolic RNA targets for MDH2, as well as several mitochondrial tRNAs. MDH2 was immunopurified from UV-crosslinked cell lysates to identify RNAs co-purified with it. We followed the eCLIP protocol for library preparation and used size matched input (SMI) and a control IgG immunopurification to identify MDH2's RNA targets
