Our study focused on the bidirectional association of ischemic stroke and gut microbiota dysbiosis. Two clinical cohorts were established and the fecal samples were collected to explore the temporal shifts of gut microbiota composition of ischemic stroke patients at different phase and to evaluate a new risk factor for stroke patients with poor primary outcome.
