Associations of genomic and spectral diversity in European beech

The data supports project that aims to contribute to genetic diversity monitoring with remote sensing methods.The data was collected from 206 F. sylvatica individuals sampled at 22 forest sites distributed across the species' natural range and comprise:(1) leaf level spectral measurements collected using an ASD FieldSpec 4 spectroradiometer (serial nr 18739, ASD Inc., Boulder, CO, USA), coupled to a plant probe with leaf clip attachment, and equipped with a standardized halogen light source and a set of standard black and white reference backgrounds(2) genomic principal coordinates derived from whole-genome sequences of the individuals(3) climatic variables defining the environmental conditions from the sites(4) day of the year for of the spectra and genomic data acquisitions.
