Dataset - Tracking of apolipoprotein B levels measured in childhood and adolescence: systematic review and meta-analysis

The dataset contains the data extracted from the studies included in the systematic review entitled "Tracking of apolipoprotein B levels measured in childhood and adolescence: systematic review and meta-analysis".

Data was extracted from full-text original empirical research journal articles published in MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science (Core Collection), or Google Scholar databases before February 2022 which reported the degree of tracking of apolipoprotein B (apoB) levels from childhood or adolescence (baseline; age <19 years) into later life (defined by a follow-up period ≥1 year).

The dataset contains the following information extracted from each study: study name, study design, country where data were collected, type of apolipoprotein/lipid (apoB or LDL cholesterol), effect estimate, tracking effect measure, variables used for adjustment (if any), sample size (total and by sex), sex, ethnicity (if stratified by ethnicity), age at baseline, length of follow-up, fasting status at baseline and follow-up as defined by the authors, number of serum measurements used to derive levels at baseline and follow-up, measurement methods (e.g., assay, calculations).

Analysis of the data is complete and the findings will be published in a scientific journal.
