Excel Data from Heat Transfer Analysis of Heat Sink Study

This dataset provides the underlying data for the manuscript "Heat Transfer Analysis of Heat Sink", Submission ID BMSE-D-25-04618 (p. 1). It includes the raw and processed data generated from Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations performed using ANSYS Fluent (p. 2). The data files (in Excel format) contain the calculated values for key performance metrics: Thermal resistance ( Rthbold cap R sub bold t bold h end-sub 𝐑𝐭𝐡 ) (p. 5) Average heat transfer coefficient ( harraybold h sub bold a bold r bold r bold a bold y end-sub 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐲 ) (p. 5) Data is provided for three different heat sink geometries analyzed in the study: Solid rectangular fins (baseline case) (p. 4) Uniformly perforated fins (3 mm and 6 mm diameters) (p. 4) Alternating perforated fins (3 mm and 6 mm diameters) (p. 4) This data was used to create the figures and tables presented in the associated publication. A separate README file is included to explain the column headers and content of each Excel file.
