Spontaneous abortion: spontaneous fetal loss before 28 weeks of gestation. Stillbirth: intrauterine fetal demise after 28 weeks of gestation. Neonatal death: live infant dying within 28 days after delivery. Induced abortion: voluntarily induced termination of pregnancy.
