资源简介:
The Coral Reef Ecosystem Division of the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center, part of the National Marine Fisheries Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), conducted 4911 shallow CTD profiling casts at 45 Pacific islands, atolls and banks during 39 research cruises on NOAA Ship Hi'ialakai, NOAA Ship Townsend Cromwell, and NOAA Ship Oscar Elton Sette in the years 2000 to 2010. Shallow Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) casts are vertical profiles (max 30 meter depth, downcast only) of temperature, conductivity and pressure. Data are collected at select nearshore locations, both around islands or banks and within lagoons. Auxiliary sensors are sometimes used to measure additional oceanographic parameters such as fluorometry, beam transmission and dissolved oxygen. NOTE: In all data prior to 2008, the pre-cast CTD equilibration period at the surface was not removed prior to data processing. Depth bins below 3 meters are unlikely to be affected. The field information associated with this data has also come under review and some errors have been found. This data is being actively curated and an update will be provided upon completion.
