The Sludge Abatement Board was established under Section 122 of the Mining Act, 1906, to investigate and make recommendations on the pollution of water sources by mining, especially dredging. The Board met once a year, or more often if necessary, to make recommendations to the Under Secretary for Mines. Included is a report by the Victorian Sludge Abatement Board for 1914 and a copy of the 1913 Mining Act Amendment Bill.(19/3064 part). 1 box (part).
