RNA-sequencing analysis of tumor tissues from two Drosophila yki variants

In this study, we demonstrated that tumor-bearing flies exhibit enhanced avoidance of bitter substances, and it is correlated with the severity of the tumor in our genetic models. To identify tumor-secreted cytokines uniquely upregulated in the malignant tumor model (GMR>ykiSA) compared to the mild tumor model (GMR>ykiWT), we performed RNA-sequencing analysis on both types of yki-induced tumor tissues. Overall design: 3 samples each for GMR-Gal4 control (duizhao) head tissue and GMR>ykiSA, GMR>ykiWT tumor head tissue were used to extract the RNA. Each sample contains 50-80 heads.
