Levees of Puget Sound

Inventory of Puget Sound levees updated June 2024. This updated version was created during the Phase 2 levees work, which focused on standardizing levee attributes. The 2023 version (found here) and was compiled from a variety of data providers including Washington Department of Ecology, local entities, and Corps of Engineers. The data are aggregated in a standardized data structure and attributes were preserved as much as possible. These data may have been edited for improved accuracy or to remove redundant features. The presence and removal of levees are tracked as part of Strategy 5 of the Puget Sound Action Agenda - https://actionagenda.pugetsoundinfo.wa.gov/Strategy/Detail/5, and these data are a critical component of the Floodplain Function Vital Sign Indicator for Puget Sound - https://vitalsigns.pugetsoundinfo.wa.gov/VitalSignIndicator/Detail/14.
