Population: Civil unions celebrated in Milan

The dataset refers to Civil Unions celebrated in Milan by year of the event, from 2016 onwards, classified according to variables related to the event and to the two partners. The Cirinnà Law (Law 76/2016) established in Italian civil law a new form of family: same-sex civil unions. Two persons of age of the same sex constitute a civil union by declaration before the civil status officer and in the presence of two witnesses (paragraph 2). The civil status officer shall register documents of civil union between persons of the same sex in the records of the civil status.
