Understanding the mechanism of infection of the Macrobrachium rosenbergii nodavirus

This thesis investigates how (italicise)Macrobrachium rosenbergii(/italicise) nodavirus infects giant freshwater prawns. It explores how the virus interacts with shrimp cells by examining changes in protein production after infection. The study looks at how the virus hijacks the shrimp's cellular machinery to produce viral proteins instead of the prawn's own proteins. Additionally, this thesis reviews the effectiveness of various treatments tested so far. Finally, by combining current research and past studies, the author has developed a new dual-action treatment. This thesis also evaluates the effectiveness of this new treatment in preventing the virus from spreading.
