Groundwater Isohypsen Canton Schaffhausen

The groundwater map including isohypses was last revised and updated in 2016. The groundwater isohyps are elevation lines and indicate the altitude of the middle groundwater level in m above sea level. The distance between the isohypses (equivalent distance) is 1, 5 or 10 m depending on the aquifer. The data connect the points of the same height and are represented as lines. On the one hand, the groundwater isohypses or measured values are an important basis for the preparation of groundwater map, on the other hand, it can be used to determine groundwater power and spacing, which allows the groundwater conditions to be assessed in drilling or construction projects.
