Ö-ISCO (Austrian Professional Classification) Description: The Ö-ISCO 08 is derived from ISCO 08. ISCO 08 is the international standard classification of professions. The ISCO was developed by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and primarily serves to enable the international comparability of labour market statistics. It will also serve as a model for countries wishing to revise or develop a national occupational scheme. For the correct application of Ö-ISCO 08 explanatory texts and an alphabetical directory of professions are available.
