资源简介:
This research aims to gain new insights into the evolution of Eye Tracking in Science Education (ET-SE) by synthesizing the existing literature on how the field is evolving conceptually, intellectually, and socially. A systematic literature review method and bibliometric study were used to achieve this objective. The Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases were used as sources of literature metadata, which were then analyzed using Bibliometrix and VOSviewer software. Starting with an initial identification of 114 documents in the WoS database and 204 documents in the Scopus database, applying strict search and exclusion criteria resulted in 107 documents in WoS and 164 documents in Scopus to be analyzed in depth. The quantitative analysis provides a comprehensive view of ET-SE through tables, graphs, and maps. The study's novelty lies in its comprehensive analysis of the application of eye-tracking technology in science education and its impact on the learning process. This research is important to educators, policymakers, and researchers, as it provides insights to improve teaching strategies, inform policy, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. It also offers an overview of current research opportunities for ET-SE, which could benefit researchers, librarians, digital developers, educators, and policymakers. Further research can be conducted based on the scope of mathematics or physics education, especially to investigate specific skills or multiple representations.
