Landslides inventories of Gilgit-Baltistan,Pakistan

The landslide inventories of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), northern Pakistan, were compiled to provide a comprehensive record of slope failure occurrences across one of the most geodynamically active and topographically complex regions in the world. The dataset integrates three complementary sources: (i) publicly available landslide inventories from the Science Data Bank and NASA’s Global Landslide Catalog, (ii) high-precision field survey data collected through on-site mapping and validation of landslide features, and (iii) deformation hotspots identified from multi-temporal Sentinel-1 InSAR analysis (2019–2024). Together, these inventories capture both historical and recent landslide activity, encompassing a wide range of geomorphic and environmental settings. The dataset serves as a valuable foundation for regional-scale landslide susceptibility modeling, hazard assessment, and validation of remote sensing–based landslide detection approaches.
