Aggregated Smartphone Timeseries of Rocket-generated Acoustics (ASTRA)

Collection of acoustic signals from rocket launches recorded on a smartphone sensor network available as a pandas DataFrame. The dataset contains 1089 individual recordings from 243 rocket launches at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and the Kennedy Space Center. The data were recorded at propagation distances of 10-70 km and are of variable length due to differing extents of signal dispersion at different ranges.

Included with each recording are the associated: epoch time in seconds of the first sample; sampling frequency in Hz; smartphone make, model number, identification number, latitude, and longitude; launch identification number, reported epoch time in seconds, latitude, and longitude; estimated source-to-receiver propagation distance in kilometers; estimates of the time-of-arrival in epoch seconds; rocket make, type, model number, and number of SRBs used.
