Data and code for "Device Time Versus Block Time: An Emulator Measurement of MetaMask Android Transaction Timestamps on Polygon and Base, with a One-Phone Comparison"
收藏资源简介:
Data and code supporting the study “Device Time Versus Block Time: An Emulator Measurement of MetaMask Android Transaction Timestamps on Polygon and Base, with a One-Phone Comparison”. The study measures the difference between the local transaction timestamps stored by MetaMask Mobile 8.10.0 (Android) and the timestamps of the including blocks, on Polygon and Base. Two parts: (1) the primary study in an Android emulator (100 valid transactions per network), whose protocol was registered at the OSF (https://osf.io/u57eq, embargoed until 2028-11-29 in UTC-03:00, which is 2028-11-30 00:00 UTC) before the main sample was collected; (2) a non-registered comparison on one physical phone (Samsung Galaxy A30, Android 11; called a “replication” in some of the OSF files), added by amendment v4b stamped at the OSF before its first counted observation (188 primary observations: Polygon 88, Base 100). The associated OSF project is https://osf.io/krxvw. Analyses added after the main results are post hoc and exploratory. Contents: per-transaction results (dt_polygon.csv, dt_base.csv, dt_a30_primaria.csv), analysis and data-collection scripts, SHA-256 manifest of the 2,624 frozen emulator files, the registered protocol (v4), a working record of deviations (registo_desvios.md; the final list of departures from the protocol is Appendix A of the article), the time-stamp record, the phone-comparison package (zenodo_v2_telemovel.zip: per-lot data, scripts, outputs, amendment v4b, errata, analysis plan and results record), and the additional analyses of the revision (zenodo_v7_acrescentos.zip: analise_ronda8.py, analise_ronda9.py, analise_ntp_theta.py, verifica_smart_transactions.py, verifica_submithistory_tc.py, outputs, figures and manifest; see LEIAME_v7.txt and MANIFEST_SHA256.txt inside). Some file names and notes are in Portuguese. The raw app storage files from the emulator and the raw MetaMask state logs from the phone are not shared because they can contain account data; the emulator hashes are in the manifest, and the phone-log hashes are in extraido.csv and, for seven of the ten logs, in the OSF results record.
