The Global Invasive Species Database (GISD) is an online database that compiles information on invasive species worldwide. Developed and administered by the Invasive Species Specialist Group (ISSG) under the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the database was established in 2000 as part of the Global Invasive Species Programme (GISP). GISD provides detailed information about invasive species, including their names, taxonomic classification, distribution, ecological impacts and management measures, with the aim of raising public awareness of invasive species and facilitating their effective management.
