FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THE SPREAD OF HIV INFECTION AMONG YOUTH AND THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PREVENTIVE MEASURES
收藏资源简介:
HIV infection remains a significant global public health challenge, particularly among young people who are considered a vulnerable group due to behavioral, social, and educational factors. This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to the spread of HIV infection among youth and to evaluate the effectiveness of preventive measures designed to reduce transmission. The research involved a survey of young individuals aged 16–25 years to assess their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to HIV infection and prevention. Educational interventions, including awareness seminars, informational workshops, and discussions on safe practices, were implemented among participants in the main study group. The results demonstrated that before the intervention many participants had incomplete or incorrect knowledge about HIV transmission routes and preventive methods. After the implementation of prevention programs, the level of awareness significantly increased, and participants showed improved understanding of safe behaviors and the importance of voluntary HIV testing. The findings indicate that educational and preventive programs play a crucial role in reducing the spread of HIV infection among young people. Increasing access to reliable information, promoting safe behaviors, and reducing stigma associated with HIV are essential strategies for improving the effectiveness of HIV prevention efforts. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating HIV education into youth-focused health programs and educational institutions.
