资源简介:
In energy cane, high metabolic activity of the bud has been demonstrated, implying rapid growth in these cultivars. To comprehend the regulation of gene expression in buds during plant formation, axillary buds were collected within the initial 48 hours of planting a sugarcane and energy cane cultivar. Furthermore, we observed differential gene expression across the 0, 24, and 48 hours post-planting time points, particularly in genes associated with hormone biosynthesis and degradation, genes related to dormancy breaking, cellulose deposition, cell growth, division, expansion, and sugar metabolism. Total RNA was extracted from five biological replicates of sugarcane and energy cane buds during the initial hours of outgrowth (0, 24, and 48 hours) following a previously established protocol, as described by Zeng and Yang (2002), and this samples was sequencing on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 sequencer, a high-performance instrument from Illumina.
