PAI-1 is considered as an oncogenic protein. However, PAI-1 deficiency didn’t stop tumor development in animal cancer models. Thus, it is suggested that there may be compensatory pathway that support tumor growth in the absence of PAI-1. We used microarrays to detail the global gene expression and identified differentially genes between genotypes and treatment. Overall design: We selected mouse bladder tissues isolated from mouse at week 20. There are four groups in this study, including wild type mice treated with/without BBN (bladder carcinogen) and PAI-1 KO mice with/without BBN.
