On instruction from Halcrow Group Ltd acting on behalf of Stoford Developments Ltd (for Severn Trent Water) Birmingham Archaeology undertook an archaeological evaluation at Much Park Street, Coventry (centred on NGR SP 33687866) between October 11th and 15th 2010. The evaluation work was undertaken to assess whether proposed landscaping of the site would affect below ground archaeological remains. A total of three trenches were excavated across the site to provide information regarding the survival of archaeological remains relating to industrial or manufacturing activities during the medieval or post medieval periods.
