Average number of sick days taken in the Netherlands 2022, by age group

In the past year, employees in the Netherlands on average took roughly nine sick days. The youngest age group took the fewest sick days, at an average of 3.7 days. By comparison, employees aged 55 to 64 years on average took around four times as many sick days, at 12.6 days.
