Population characteristics: The medical exclusion criteria included immune deficiencies, a disease affecting immune response, cancer diagnosis within the last year or on-going cancer treatment. Other exclusion criteria included incompetency and living outside city area. Inclusion criteria was that the form of housing in a detached or row house.

Recruitment: Study subjects were recruited from three metropolitan regions in Finland; Helsinki, Lahti and Turku.
