These FASTQ files correspond to three bulked DNA samples obtained from an F2 population derived from the intraspecific cross Rio Grande x LYC1907, segregating for the major gene FS8.1, which controls a fruit morphological trait known as fruit shape index. A modified QTL-seq strategy was implemented, explicitly accounting for the segregation of this major gene, in order to identify additional quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with fruit shape index and to determine whether these loci act dependently or independently of FS8.1. Two bulks were constructed from plants homozygous for the wild-type allele of FS8.1, displaying extreme low (Bulk I) and high (Bulk II) values of fruit shape index, respectively. A third bulk was composed of plants homozygous for the cultivated allele of FS8.1 and exhibiting the highest fruit shape index values (Bulk III).
