Front. Public Health 11:1063250. The aim of this project was to study the radiation-induced changes in murine astrocytes on the gene expression level. For this purpose, the cells were irradiated with different doses of X-rays (0 Gy, 0.1 Gy, 2 Gy) and RNA was extracted at two different time points (6 h, 24 h) after irradiation. We determined the kinetics of gene expression changes for a low dose (0.1 Gy) and a moderate dose (2 Gy) and the dose-effect relationship for two timepoints (6 h, 24 h).
