The series consists of a volume which records key summary information regarding patients at Beechworth Asylum and Beechworth Hospital for the Insane (VA 2842).Information recorded in the register includes:- patient name- admission number- admission date- religious persuasion- birthplace- condition as to marriage- ageFurther research is required to determine the purpose of the register which may have been used for reporting purposes. It is unclear as to how this series (VPRS 17930) relates to the Admission and Discharge Register of Patients (VPRS 17846) - both registers were maintained concurrently for the period 1867 to 1929.
