Angiostrongylus vasorum strain:ZH-2019-22 Genome sequencing and assembly

Angiostrongylus vasorum is an important parasitic nematode of dogs and other wild canids causing several clinical symptoms collectively known as angiostrongylosis. Despite its clinical importance, the nuclear genome sequence of the A. vasorum is currently lacking. To address this gap, we have sequenced A. vasorum genome using the Oxford nanopore long-read sequencing (ONT) platform and the assembled draft genome was polished with an additional short Illumina reads to correct errors and indels.
