A dataset of paper entitled "Contrasting latitudinal diversity gradients in karst and non-karst forests: Evidence for bedrock-driven modulation"

We calculated the plant species richness (S), stem abundance (SA), stand basal area (SBA), plant size variation (PSV) based on the vegetation survey. Then constructed phylogenetic trees based on the data of vegetation survey for each site, and calculated the phylogenetic diversity (PD) and net related index (NRI) of each plot. At the same time, we collected bedrock and topsoil samples for plots then brought them to lab to measure soil physicochemical properties and bedrock components. And for the climate variables, we extracted them from the Terraclimate dataset. We also calculated the equivalent soil depth in the space of 1-meter depth based on electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) for karst forests.
