Data and Code for Unified Spectral Framework for Hillslope Moisture

Dataset S1. This dataset contains high-temporal-resolution (hourly) measurements of soil moisture at five different soil depths (10 cm, 20 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm, and 100 cm) and corresponding rainfall data, collected simultaneously from both a vegetated slope and a bare (control) slope. The monitoring period spans from May 1, 2020, to September 17, 2020, providing a comprehensive record of hydrological responses under natural rainfall events and dry periods. The data are structured to facilitate comparative analysis of the influence of vegetation cover on soil water infiltration, redistribution, and storage dynamics. This dataset is suitable for studies in hillslope hydrology, ecohydrology, and shallow landslide triggering mechanisms. Code S1. PSA analysis.txt – R script performing power spectral density (PSD) estimation via Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), including data cleaning, zero-padding, log-log plotting, and dominant frequency/period extraction.
