Dipterocarp genome sequencing. Rubroshorea leprosula

A draft genome assembly of Shorea leprosula, a widely distributed dipterocarp throughout Southeast Asia (Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatera). We used the S. leprosula genome for comparative and evolutionary analyses through transcriptome and resequencing data of other related dipterocarps. These analyses provide better understandings into the genome evolution of dipterocarps and shed light on the importance of drought-responsive genes for plant adaptation.
