Aerosols above clouds products from POLDER/PARASOL satellite observations (AERO-AC products).

Aerosols above clouds are detected in various region of the world and exert a positive radiative forcing (warming) at global scale. These particles also modify the cloud dynamic by warming the atmosphere above the clouds and modify the cloud microphysics in case of contact at cloud top. These data set provides a unique aerosol satellite product, which includes the above cloud aerosol optical thickness, absorption, corrected cloud optical thickness and associated forcing, which are key parameters for understanding the impacts of aerosols on climate and clouds.
