NRS-1867 | Hard labour and remission schedules [Corrective Services]

These monthly schedules are entitled "Return of prisoners sentenced to penal servitude on the roads or public works of the colony, or imprisonment with hard labour; eligible for employment at the Public Works prison, Trial Bay, or additional remission under regulation". The following details are given: register number; gaol where confined; name; offence; sentence - date, period, expiry; period when eligible for discharge counting remission, total remission, date when eligible for employment at Trial Bay, general conduct; punishments in gaol, whether orderly, disorderly, industrious, idle; and recommendation of Deputy Comptroller General (usually relating to prisoner's release). The schedules are copies of returns which were sent to the Department of Attorney General and of Justice.(5/2211). 1 vol.
