资源简介:
This study presents a comprehensive analysis of enterobacterial strains isolated from various hospitals in Aguascalientes, Mexico, spanning the years 2020 to 2023. A total of 30 Escherichia coli and 35 Klebsiella spp. strains underwent genomic sequencing to elucidate their genomic characteristics and antibiotic resistance profiles.Strain identification was achieved through a comparative analysis of results obtained from two distinct methods: the MALDI Biotyper and the BD Phoenix M50 equipment, complemented by antibiotic susceptibility testing. Genomic analysis of all isolates was conducted using Illumina Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), followed by bioinformatics analyses to extract pertinent insights into the genetic makeup, virulence factors, and potential antibiotic resistance determinants of the sequenced strains. This research significantly contributes valuable data to enhance our understanding of enterobacterial dynamics in the hospital setting in Mexico. The study provides critical insights into the genomic diversity and antibiotic resistance profiles of these strains, essential for informed clinical decision-making and the formulation of targeted intervention strategies tailored to the specific healthcare landscape of the region. The results of this investigation not only advance our knowledge of enterobacterial behavior but also have practical implications for improving public health in Mexico by aiding in the development of more effective treatment protocols and infection control measures that are adapted to the unique challenges faced by healthcare systems in the country.
