Brazilian_Construction_Innovation_Case_Studies_Database

This dataset contains the systematization of 100 case studies focused on innovation initiatives within the Brazilian construction sector, published between 2015 and 2024. The data was gathered through a systematic literature review using Google Scholar. The database includes detailed mapping of the following variables: Type of Innovation: Classification according to the Oslo Manual (Technological, Process, Organizational, and Marketing). Construction Segment: Residential, infrastructure, or services. Technological Inputs: Specific technologies applied (e.g., BIM, prefabrication, digitalization). Barriers and Challenges: Main obstacles identified (e.g., cost, cultural resistance, low digitalization). Impact and Results: Outcomes of the innovation implementation. This dataset provides a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art innovation in the Brazilian construction industry over the last decade.
