Microbial diversity of water samples from a floodplain bog in the Syrgil River valley

Microbial diversity was studied in the swampy floodplain of the Syrgil River, specifically in the area of groundwater discharge near a low-level radioactive waste storage facility. The contact between the swampy floodplain and technogenically modified groundwater results in the enrichment of swamp waters with nitrate, sulfate, and uranyl ions.
