NITEC

It is a manually annotated eye contact dataset focused on egocentric perspective interactions. The dataset contains 35,919 samples, covering diverse demographic backgrounds, social scenarios and lighting conditions, aiming to advance research on egocentric perspective-based eye contact. The creation of the NITEC dataset involved selecting publicly available images from four distinct computer vision task datasets, followed by partial re-annotation and integration. The application areas of the NITEC dataset include computer vision, human-computer interaction and social robotics, with the goal of addressing the challenges faced by machines in capturing human gaze.
