Mycoplasma feriruminatoris sp. nov. Genome sequencing

Recently a group of Mycoplasma strains, which is closely related to the 'M. mycoides cluster' has been identified using an multi locus sequence typing approach. This group was represented by five strains, which were isolated from a Rocky Mountain Goat and four Alpine Ibexes from the USA and from Germany, respectively. We have investigated the phenotypic and genotypic traits of this new species and suggest that this group of strains represents a novel species named M. feriruminantoris sp. nov. We here report its full genome sequence and characteristics.
