Number of cadastral income notification bulletins sent

This table shows the evolution of the number of slips sent, distinguishing between those produced by an automatic process and those which are prepared manually because of an error or complaint. Definition: A notification form is a letter sent by registered post to a landlord notifying him of his cadastral income. Since the 2021 annual report, the calculation method has been revised: previously, the year of retention was the year relating to the notification phases relating to the year of transfer concerned. From now on, the actual date of dispatch of the mail is used as the year of return (new calculation method). In practice, the number of notification bulletins is the same, but there is a delay of 8 months compared with the old calculation method (sending phases). After a significant increase in 2020, the number of registered cadastral income decreased in 2021. While the number of new constructions has not decreased, the number of revaluations of cadastral income as a result of conversions is increasing. These changes mainly concern recent but also old renovations. In 2021, the Administration for Measures and Evaluations continued the regularisation of cadastral income (data quality) following undeclared conversions (in particular works not requiring a permit). On the other hand, the increase in notifications in 2020 was also a consequence of the catching-up of the planning permits of 2018 and 2019 which had not been submitted in full by the Flemish Region. Notifications of cadastral income (RC) abroad do not follow the same rules as notifications for property in Belgium. For CR abroad, each reporting co-holder is notified separately for each cadastral income. For CR in Belgium, only one co-holder is notified. Declarations of real estate abroad for the establishment of a CR started in 2022. This explains the high number of notifications because there is a catching-up of previously acquired goods.
