Taxation Revenue - Quarterly 2012-13

The State’s taxation revenue is forecast by a process that involves: \n \n\n * application of DTF’s economic forecasts, where there is a relationship between taxation revenue and economic variables; and\n * use of forward indicators, unpublished revenue data and qualitative information from liaison with relevant stakeholders. \n\n \nThis enables an assessment of economic and other factors influencing the tax\nbases from which taxes are sourced e.g. for payroll tax, an assessment of the\noutlook for employment. \n \nWhere necessary, adjustment factors are used to account for other trends or\nevents not captured by the model, such as impact of economic shocks or policy\nstimulus. \n \nThe download contains the eight taxation data series: \n \n\n * total taxation revenue;\n * payroll tax;\n * land tax;\n * land transfer duty;\n * gambling taxes;\n * insurance taxes;\n * motor vehicle taxes; and\n * other taxes.\n\n
