This statistic displays the prcie per unit of the ten drugs with the highest spending by U.S. community hospitals in 2017. The figures are based on data from 1,800 community hospitals organized in two GPOs (group purchasing organizations). Within these GPOs, Activase - also known under its generic name alteplase - was the drug on which the most money was spent. The per unit price of Activase stood at 4,143 U.S. dollars that year.
