Transcriptomic analysis of cyst germination in Rhodospirillum centenum

We extracted and sequenced the RNA during different stages of an 8 hour cyst germination in Rhodospirillum centenum. It has aided in defining the chronology of molecular events during dormant cell germination in this model Gram-negative, cyst-forming organism. Overall design: Cysts of Rhodospirillum centenum were induced to germinate in nutrient rich CENS medium. RNA extracted from 0hr, 0.5hr, 1hr, 1.5hr, 2hr, 2.5hr, 3hr, 4hr, 5hr, 6hr, 7hr and 8hours after induction of germination. RNA sequenced and each time point compared to 0hr to define pathways and processes (time-wise) that get up/downregulated during germination. Done in triplicates
