Concatenated ITS+LSU alignment of Juanplanasmyces balearicus and related taxa (Mycocaliciales)

his dataset contains a concatenated ITS+LSU alignment of 53 taxa used to infer the phylogenetic position of the newly described genus Juanplanasmyces within the order Mycocaliciales (Ascomycota). The type specimen of Juanplanasmyces balearicus was collected on the bark of a dead branch of Rhamnus alaternus in Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain). The alignment is provided in NEXUS format (sequential, datatype=dna), which is compatible with commonly used phylogenetic software such as RAxML, IQ-TREE, MrBayes, and MEGA. This format allows reproduction of the analyses and further comparative studies.
