NRS-19822 | Merger packets [Department of Lands]

The Merger Packets contain documents that support the registration of a Merger Application which are applications lodged with the Registrar General to request a merger of two separate estates that exist over the same parcel(s) of land and are owned by the same person(s). Generally such applications related to the removal or extinguishing of an Old System lease or Old System mortgage that has been carried forward onto a Torrens title following the conversion of land that was formerly under Old System title. Each Merger Application is given a dealing number upon lodgement with the Registrar General.The documents in the merger packets include the Merger Application as well as the supporting documentation related to the application such as statutory declarations, copies of Old System leases, assignment of leases, correspondence from the Registrar General’s office and solicitors, letters of administration from the Supreme Court of New South Wales, minute papers, indentures relating to conveyances and re-conveyances, Old System searches and reports by Examining Officers undertaking investigation of the Merger Application prior to it becoming a fully registered dealing.
