PLSC: Criteria air pollutants and cortical thickness, cortical surface area, subcortical volume

Association between fine particulate matter (PM₂.₅), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), with three major neuroanatomical metrics derived from structural MRI: cortical thickness, cortical surface area, and subcortical volume.
Statistical method used is Partial least square correlation (PLSC), a multivariate technique that identifies latent variables (LVs) maximizing covariance between two sets of variables—in this case, pollutant concentrations and brain measures .
