Share of annual grape harvest used for wine production in South Africa 2022

As of 2022, almost 81 percent of grapes harvested in South Africa were used in the production of wine. Following this, close to 12 percent of the annual grape harvest was used in distilling wine. The remainder was used to make grape juice/concentrate and brandy, with a share of around three and four percent, respectively.
